A Welcome Drink of Rain Before a Fall Refresh

Hey y’all, Chris here with your local weather scoop. As we keep an eye on the tropics, here’s the latest: Tropical Storm Amelia is doing a little dance out in the Atlantic, but thanks to Hurricane Humberto carving out a trough to the east, Amelia’s more likely to slide away from us rather than pay a visit.

What that means for us here in the Foothills is we get a little upper-level energy stirring up some light rain this afternoon through tonight and into Tuesday. It’s not a washout by any means—just a nice bit of moisture that we could really use since it’s been pretty dry lately. Most spots will probably see under half an inch, so no worries about flooding—just a good soaking to settle the dust.

By Wednesday, as that front swings on through, we’re looking at clear skies settling in and a real taste of fall weather for the rest of the week—Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are shaping up to be those crisp, sunny autumn days we’ve all been waiting for.

And beyond that? We’re keeping an eye on the possibility of some tropical moisture swinging back into the picture by the weekend. It’s just something on our radar for now, not a sure thing, but we’ll keep you posted.

So, enjoy the brief rain, welcome the fall vibes midweek, and stay tuned for more updates from Foothills Weather Network!
