A cold front is approaching the Carolinas, bringing a more active weather pattern to the region. Temperatures will climb into the lower and middle 90s, with high humidity fueling the development of thunderstorms. While widespread severe weather is not expected, much of western North Carolina is under a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe thunderstorms.
