Good Wednesday morning to everyone,

We continue to monitor a winter storm that will impact the region on Friday. Read the graphic below for the latest details that we know…

With the relatively quick nature of this storm system it will prevent snowfall totals form getting very high, that said our region is going to see its first accumulating snow in three years. There is a good source of cold air in place, so that won’t be a major problem. Snow/sleet accumulation should occur fairly quick with the surface being cold.

Below is our first call map on accumulations as of 9 am Wednesday morning.


With this update we keep the Winter Storm Index at Level 3, preparations for the event should continue today. Our weather team will continue to analyze the storm and may update our totals this evening as additional data rolls in.
